A tool used for hydraulic systems that allows the flow of fluids in one direction only, i.e., prevents reverse flow, completely isolating the upstream area from where the fluids are now. Check valves are flow-sensitive and depend on fluid flow or pressure. The internal disc allows passage to what causes the valve to open, then the same disc begins to close the valve as the flow of water is reduced or reversed.
